Is HOW your primary question?

Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure… than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.

-Theodore Roosevelt

I have often heard it said that those who are not part of the solution are part of the problem. Though on a certain level I agree with this concept, it is really a bit extreme as well. There are many out there who perceive wrongs, and wish to right them, but simply do not know how. Having the will to do something does not mean one has the means. But it IS a very good first step. I do believe it is up to those who see the wrong to fix it. The question is not “Should I?, but rather “How?”

I can easily understand not knowing where to start. Or simply not having the tools to do what we want to do. What I don’t understand is those who don’t even put an effort in. Those are the people that become part of the problem. ‘I don’t know how to fix it, so why bother trying?” Or worse yet, “That is someone else’s problem.” That to me is not acceptable. It drives me batty when someone says “That is the way it is, so accept it” about something that CAN be changed if enough band together to change it. Acceptance is good for the soul, AND the stress level when we accept that which cannot truly be changed. But too often it is used as an excuse. That is not wisdom. That is hiding from responsibility.

What one can’t do alone …

I will be the first to admit that I am not perfect. Much of the wrongness I perceive around me could easily be a reflection of something I need to change in myself. That is a part of being human. I  have learned much, but can’t really claim to know a hell of a lot. Just like other humans. I have a few skills, and many more I do NOT have … again like other humans. But where I differ from many is if I perceive something that I think needs changing, then I do what I can to figure out my HOW. If I don’t have the tools personally, then I will look for someone who has them. If I don’t have the resources, I will use what resources I DO have as well as I can. Maybe I will get nowhere. Maybe I will downright FAIL. But the one thing I will rarely claim is I did not at least put in an effort.

Well anyone with eyes knows that there is MUCH wrong with the world today. And too many of us either turn a blind eye, or give up on the fixing before we even try, because of that lingering HOW. THAT is ultimately what the PAX Nation project is all about. I alone do not have the skills, knowledge, and resources to fix all of the human world. So I am using some of the skills I have; what few resources I have; to ASK FOR HELP. What one human cannot do alone, a group can do … sometimes with ease. Do I really think I can create something here that will change the world? Well actually, yes I do. but I know I cannot do it alone. That is what this seed of a community is for.

With help, we can not only identify problems, but brainstorm solutions. TOGETHER we can achieve wonders that individually we cannot even dream of. It will not happen overnight. It may never happen at all. But I do know if no effort is made, there is NO chance of success. So who wants to help a crazy dream become a reality? Who wants to become part of a collective which is focused on the many instead of the one; which believes HUMANITY comes before individual agendas; which wants to help lead our children into the world of possibility instead of into a land of shadows?

I certainly can’t be the only one?[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”5/6″][vc_empty_space height=”16px”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/6″][vc_column_text]
