I have gone to my new “office” twice so far, and both times managed to come out with a collection of words … maybe even some worth reading. Last time it was a couple of blog posts. This time a blog post again, but that was while waiting for something to download. But I manage to actually push out a couple of thousand words in one of my manuscripts, almost finishing a chapter that has been eluding me for quite some town now. It is a key chapter in forwarding the story along the path it has chosen, and I was having a lot of difficulty finding the words to make it happen. It did not help that I also lost my motivation and energy … especially while at home. I am not sure it is just a renewal in desire or the change of scenery is actually helping, but either way it seems to be working right now.There is one slight drawback though. Since I am now sitting at a bar, for several hours, the temptation to spend money that I really can’t afford to spend on snacks and maybe even the occasional drink is pretty strong. So I also need to beef up the discipline, which is my true weak spot. The challenge is on!
