Leap where?

Once again it is time for that most wondrous of creations … The 100 Word Challenge for Grown Ups. Technically, it was time yesterday, but it did not sound as impressive to say “Once again I missed the time for … etc.” This week’s challenge is another stimulating one. One hundred words focused on the concept:

…Take a Leap of Faith…

This time (as with last week) the words do not need to appear in the piece. Since I have been slacking a bit in working on my books, I figured that I would throw this weeks entry into the realm of fantasy in an effort to get my mind in book mode again. So here goes:

The prophecy said “It will be found when the Chosen one makes the first leap.”

This was a point of conflict among the scholars. There were plains as far as anyone had travelled. What was the chosen supposed to leap from? For that matter, who was the Chosen one anyway?

Jayden absolutely KNEW that he would be the one to finally find the mystic weapon. He believed this as strongly as the fact that the sun would rise the next day. This is exactly why I “chose” him for the journey.

There are many different kinds of leaps.
