]]>That said, I have started adding some pictures from my own adventures to Images from afar … a page devoted to sharing images of the variety and beauty that this world has to offer. I have many of my own pictures to share, but as with everything else in this project, it is not intended to be just me sharing MY life. I have also added the ability for others to upload images that THEY would like to share. Even if we do not have the capacity to CHANGE the world yet here, we certainly can share information about our part of it with others. I encourage folk to upload pictures that are indicative of your part of the world. Images of nature, of people, of civilization … whatever you think is worth sharing. I had already included the ability for members to write their own blog posts, but I have added some posting guidelines to the page. Let your voice be hear about … whatever it is you wish to share.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_btn title=”Visit Images from afar …” align=”center” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fthrumyeyes.life/a-better-world%2Fvisit-pax-nation%2Fimages-from-afar%2F|||”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_btn title=”Upload your own images” align=”center” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fthrumyeyes.life/a-better-world%2Fvisit-pax-nation%2Fimages-from-afar%2Fupload-images%2F|||”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_btn title=”Write a blog post” align=”center” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fthrumyeyes.life/a-better-world%2Fwhats-new-in-pax-nation%2Fwrite-a-blog-post%2F|||”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_images_carousel images=”2791,2826,2825,2820,2819,2818,2817,2816,2815,2814,2813,2804,2803,2802,2801,2800,2795,2794,2793,2792″ img_size=”medium” autoplay=”yes” hide_pagination_control=”yes” wrap=”yes” title=”Recently added images”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/12″][/vc_column][/vc_row]

]]>Why am I bringing this up? Part of what makes me ME is that I wish to do nothing other than help improve the world around me. And the way I most successfully do that is by either helping OTHERS obtain their dreams, or by getting good projects started, which others eventually take over and make into something worthwhile. I am an idea mind, but I am not very detail oriented. That is really what PAX Nation is intended to be. A forum; a think tank in which those with unconventional ideas can gather together and maybe find actual SOLUTIONS for many of the world’s problems … partially by stepping OUTSIDE of previously designated boundaries. I never expected it to happen overnight. And I KNOW I am NOT the person to do such great deeds, even if I might be a good spark to ignite others.
It has become more and more apparent to me that IF this idea has merit … it is not the time for it yet. Right now we are again fighting for basic net neutrality, which is a NECESSITY for PAX Nation to have ANY hope of growth. But beyond that, I have not really managed to get much more than a passing interest in the project over the course of months. I have opened it up to allow any to contribute ideas that wish to; I have tried to make it into a rudimentary social site … both with little success. It is my failing of course, because I have not really succeeded in obtaining even minimal help on the project. Most of the “contributions” have been simply spammers and scammer who love to do nothing other than use openness as a source to inundate the public with more garbage in the pursuit of profit. Fortunately I got wise to this early on and changed things so that they can’t automatically post without approval (unless given that permission.)
None of this really matters though. I am not writing this as a bid for attention or another plea. I just wanted to let any who actually find some value know that the site will basically be on hiatus while I am involved with the hike. I will be leaving at the end of March, and it will take approximately 6 months. Which basically means this project will go on the shelf for most of that time. I might occasionally step in, and I will probably post a few more times before I leave. But other than that, this idea is getting top shelved for a while. Unless anyone thinks it is worth keeping it alive and wants to take it on some management of the project (if so, feel free to contact me). I will mostly just be blogging on the Hiking Blog, so all of the other blogs will pretty much be on hold as well. If anyone has any interest in following my adventure (or even participating on any level), I welcome them. I will have this blog automatically follow that one, or people can visit the other blog directly.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/12″][/vc_column][/vc_row]

]]>Islam is the source of peace and love not terror
The concept of “Islam terror” is on the top of the international agenda nowadays. Everywhere you go, you read or hear of it; on TV, on radio, in newspaper between intellectuals…it seems that those people who created that concept, want to spread it, and we often hear the word “terrorism” and the word “Islam” in an interchangeably way in the western media; They want to make everybody believe that Islam is terror and evil itself. However, why this hatred against this peaceful religion? Is it because some of its Adherents committed some bad crimes, which made the world guess that all Muslims are all bad? If so, why don’t we ever hear of “Christian terror” or “Jews terror”? Does it mean that all Christians and Jews are good people? Of course not!! They are all humans, it doesn’t matter what religion they adhere to; there must be good people and bad people everywhere we go.
The origin of the concept of “Islam terror” emerged after the terrorist attacks, targeted New York and Washington on September 11, 2001, which caused the death of tens of thousands of innocent civilians. The perpetrators were Muslims, and among the victims were Muslims also. Thus, if the reason behind the attack is hatred against non-Muslims, why they murdered Muslims too?! There is a point that should be stressed in the outcast; killing in the name of religion is definitely unacceptable. However, this point has never been respected; if we take a brief look in the history, we will find out that a lot of wars were in the name of religion. For instance, The Crusades which constituted a dark episode of Christianity history, which is actually, a religion of peace and love; however; the Crusaders led their “holly war” in the name of “God’s will” they killed millions of non-Christians, so do we have the right to call this “Christian terror”??!! If we did so, then we are just generalizing and giving stereotypes, because we put all the Christians in the same basket while there are good peaceful followings. That is the same oppression the Muslims are suffering from today; bad stereotypes. They pay the price that some misguided adherers should pay.
It is noteworthy to say that Islam is the religion of peace, love, and mercy. Terror, on the other hand, is the opposite of this religion message. Moreover, killing people is a sin which bring great torment in hell. For more details, lets have a look on the Qur’an verses which is the guide of Muslims in life, and the Hadith which is all the sayings and directives of the prophet Mohamed pace be upon him.
Allah said in the holly Qur’an:
You who believe! Enter absolutely into peace [Islam]. Do not follow in the footsteps of Satan. He is an outright enemy to you. (Surat al-Baqara: 168)”
This verse is an obvious call to peace and tolerance. Also Allah said in another verse which incite on avoiding murdering:
So We decreed for the tribe of Israel that if someone kills another person—unless it is in retaliation for someone else or for causing corruption in the earth—it is as if he had murdered all mankind. And if anyone gives life to another person, it is as if he had given life to all mankind. Our Messengers came to them with Clear Signs but even after that many of them committed outrages in the earth. (Surat al-Ma’ida: 32)”
And the prophet Mohamed peace be upon him said in a hadith:
A Muslim is the one who avoids harming people with his tongue and hands.”
Now, everything is clear and very obvious; the essence of Islam is peace, tolerance, and coexistence. Therefore, Islam can by no means concur with terror, and it is completely innocent of what was attributed to it. Besides, the crimes committed by any Muslim represent only the person not the religion he adhere to, and that’s the case for all religions. But the problem is that people in the western world cannot easily accept this fact, because their media worked hard to deform the Islam’s image; by presenting a Muslim as a guy with a long beard, wearing a Galabia, and surrounded his body with bombs. Unfortunately, a lot of people believe that, without doing any simple effort to find out the truth; they gave the priority to their emotions, so the hatred found its way to their hearts. I wrote this article just as a call to the western world people especially in the United Sates to get rid of the idea of “Islam terror”. They should know that the perpetrators of the terrorist attack don’t represent the Islam; they just misunderstood their religion as the Crusaders did once; that if they weren’t really exploited by some merciless portions. I’m not asking them to believe everything I said but it’s an initiative to study this great religion, learn about its noble values, and discover the hidden truth.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/12″][/vc_column][/vc_row]

]]>But as with anything that wields power of influence, they can also have their bad side. Such symbols have the ability to separate as well, capable of inspiring hatred and ire in those on the “opposite” side. Flags are the ultimate demonstration of patriotism, while at the same time the ultimate way of demeaning those who we consider enemy. I have created PAX Nation in the hopes of it one day becoming the Nation Without Borders, so it seems appropriate that it have a symbol that defies the whole US and THEM concept. So I have made an effort to create a “flag” that is an amalgam of ALL the nations flags. No nation takes precedence over another on my creation. The only order to it is what I found aesthetically pleasing as I put it together. It probably can use some refining, but I would like to introduce the PAX Nation FLAG:

]]>Our little planet is defined by its diversity. There is beauty to be found everywhere, for those willing to see it. There is so much variety: the land, the flora, the fauna, that one single being can never truly know all that there is to find on this amazing planet. The one thing we can be sure of, is that no two things are truly the same. So why is it reasonable to expect humanity, which itself is follows this pattern of diversity, to become a static, homogenous species?
PAX Nation is about change, yes, but not about sameness. Instead it is an attempt to embrace the wonderful diversity that makes up our world. Sometimes this will require change, and this community is devoted to that. But sometimes it just requires understanding. That too is what this nation is all about. So here we offer a first forum to explore the variety that is our world, the great wonder that will be PAX Nation. Here we hope to share pictures of the beauty that is everywhere, whether just the natural beauty that is already there, or the wonders that mankind has added. Here also we hope to share the grand diversity of human thought and culture. Here we can share about our different customs, and learn about our brothers and sisters. Ask questions. Share pictures and videos. Explore what others have already shared. See all that our wonderful world has to offer, and learn.
