So far I have not gotten as formal about the exercising as Mark. I have gotten started, and have a plan of action, but in the spirit of bureaucracy that I so love (← can you feel the sarcasm?) I have so far spent more time on the paperwork and planning then the actual activity. That said, I also starved myself in the name of research and country this weekend, under the guise of an official preparation for workout diet called the 3 Day Shakeology Diet. It is basically an evil plot to force nothing but nutrition down my gullet for three days, mostly in the form of a liquid that disguises itself as almost tasty, thus forcing my body to ream itself of all the yucky goodness that I have invaded it with in the recent months. Unfortunately I spent the day doing Uncley duties yesterday … not unfortunate that I spent time with my niece, but unfortunate in the fact that I am not at home where my scale of record and new workout cd’s are located. So no official way in today, and the official “beat myself into a pulp to squeeze a few lbs out” workout is delayed another day. But I am guessing that I actually managed to shed somewhere around three lbs again in the last few days. I will verify tomorrow. Otherwise, my mile count for the week passed is 8.969 miles. This brings my stats to date to:
lbs lost = 6 (ish)
training miles walked = 8.969 miles (I have a good gps ap)
So far Mark has done laps around me for distance. He has decided not to count his biking miles as far as people making pledges. Personally I think he should. They are still miles he has earned. Feedback from the peanut gallery on this one would be welcome. We can always add that in as separate pledge option. As far as poundage lost, we are pretty close. I have created these nifty little charts to keep the “race” more interesting. As you can see, we are neck in neck at the moment. May the best man and a half lose!! Weight that is 😀

That’s totally awesome! You are whiz with those graphics! When I finish this training, I want you to photoshop my head onto the Adonis body so that the wife can print it out and frame it above her desk at work 🙂
Why wait? Haha. Wait until you see the gadgets I added into the post editor. We can get oretty fancy with our posts now (even the smileys are fancy haha) 😀
Love the various measuring thingies! Yes, Mark should include his cycle rides but perhaps in lots of ten or fifteen? I also wonder whether putting up how much individuals have pledged, at this stage, might put others off who can only afford much less? Yes, put up the total amounts so that people can get excited, but perhaps not the break down. I can imagine feeling inadequate if I could only pledge two cents a mile, or one cent a lb, yet it would also really help. Just a thought:)
Good thoughts! We will have to have a committee meeting and set up a task force to think about looking into it. 😀
Clearly a consummate government apparatchnik:))
All we need now is to establish an Embassy…………. 🙂
We might need a few along the trail. Who knows what strange countries we may encounter in the wilds?
Oh yes, great idea. What shall we call it and which city would best qualify??
Susanna can be our Ambassador to England 🙂
That sounds like a GREAT plan!
Errrrrrmmmm? Are you suggesting that I am an idiot? Because back here that is fighting talk!!
No no Susanna……only SMART people can be Ambassadors…………. 🙂
