This is the first week of my mom’s official retirement. Among other things, this means I now have more freedom to leave the house, since my mom will be around more often to watch dad. At no extra cost.

Paint Your Own Pottery Place.
This is almost as fun as crayons in a restaurant!
I wandered over, and in, to this wondrous place. It is mere feet from one of the pubs I frequent. Said pub was actually closed today. Which may have been a good thing because my pottery creation would very possibly have come out quite different than it actually did.
If you have never been to one of these places, basically you find some unfinished ceramic creation, anything from a plate to a lawn gnome, and paint it. It is then sent to the ovens and voila! A work of art. Or at least a work of fun.
The biggest challenge was figuring out what to paint. I chose a nice sheepy bank. It had a lot of character. It will take a week to ten days to find out how my creation will turn out, but methinks I have found a new hobby!
Stay tuned in a week or two to see how it turns out!
